Skoda has carved a strong niche in the Indian automotive market by offering vehicles that blend European design, robust build quality, and value. As of late April 2025, Skoda’s India lineup includes the popular Skoda Kushaq compact SUV (₹ 10.89 – ₹ 19.69 Lakh) and its sedan counterpart, the Skoda Slavia (₹ 10.69 – ₹ 18.69 Lakh). Both models are built on the India-specific MQB-A0-IN platform and offer a choice of 1.0L TSI and 1.5L TSI petrol engines.
Skoda also offers the more premium Skoda Kodiaq SUV (₹ 39.99 Lakh), known for its spaciousness and feature-rich cabin. For enthusiasts, the Skoda Octavia (₹ 27.34 – ₹ 30.49 Lakh) provides a blend of performance and practicality.
Looking towards the future, Skoda has several exciting developments in the pipeline for the Indian market. The Skoda Enyaq iV, the brand’s all-electric SUV, is expected to launch around mid-2025, marking Skoda’s entry into the EV segment in India. Additionally, Skoda is actively working on a sub-4-meter SUV, currently referred to as the Skoda Epiq, which is slated for a launch in early 2025. This new compact SUV is expected to be priced competitively, potentially starting around ₹ 8 Lakh, and will likely share its platform with the upcoming Volkswagen Tera.
Skoda’s strategy in India focuses on expanding its SUV range and embracing electrification while retaining its core values of quality, design, and a rewarding driving experience. With new models on the horizon, Skoda aims to further strengthen its position in the competitive Indian automotive landscape.
