Toyota has established a strong and reliable presence in the Indian automotive market, renowned for its dependability, quality, and extensive after-sales service network. As of late April 2025, Toyota’s diverse portfolio in India caters to various needs.
The entry-level offerings include the Toyota Glanza (₹ 6.86 – ₹ 10.00 Lakh) and the Toyota Rumion (₹ 10.44 – ₹ 13.73 Lakh), which are rebadged versions of Maruti Suzuki models, providing affordable and practical options. Toyota’s core strength lies in its robust and popular SUVs and MPVs. These include the iconic Toyota Innova Crysta (₹ 19.99 – ₹ 26.59 Lakh) and its more premium iteration, the Toyota Innova Hycross (₹ 19.77 – ₹ 30.98 Lakh), both known for their spaciousness and reliability. The formidable Toyota Fortuner (₹ 33.43 – ₹ 51.44 Lakh) remains a dominant force in the premium SUV segment.
Toyota is also embracing electrification in India. The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder (₹ 11.14 – ₹ 20.19 Lakh) and the Toyota Hycross both feature strong hybrid powertrains, showcasing the brand’s commitment to sustainable mobility.
Looking ahead, Toyota is expected to further strengthen its SUV lineup with the launch of the Toyota Taisor (expected ₹ 7.74 Lakh), a sub-compact SUV based on the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, anticipated around mid-May 2025. While specific details are yet to be officially announced, Toyota’s future strategy in India is likely to continue focusing on reliability, hybrid technology, and expanding its SUV offerings to cater to the evolving demands of Indian consumers.
